Brendan is Joseph K in a one-man production of ‘The Trial’.

After appearing there last year in ‘Boris Godunov’ Brendan O’Rourke is back this August at the Brockley Jack Theatre in a new adaptation of Kafka’s ‘The Trial’. Set inside a prison cell one year on from his arrest this one-man production finds Brendan’s Joseph K grappling with the events that led him to this moment. Sadly we have recently said goodbye to our member Bushra Laskar who has moved on to become an agent with another company. On a happier note we welcome new member Lindon Alexander to Alpha and look forward to a successful relationship.

For one night only at The Southwark Playhouse! Alpha’s Brendan O’Rourke is starring in the short play ‘The Red Suitcase’ as part of Little Pieces of Gold‘s evening of shorts ‘The Class Ceiling‘ on Sunday 20th March. A collection of new plays that respond to classic texts by Miller, Churchill, Mamet and Hardy (to name but a few) that at their heart tackle the issues of social class. ‘The Red Suitcase’ is written by award-winner Fiona Doyle. After a phenomenally busy start to the year Greg Lockett is now starring in the two-hander ‘Don’t Smoke in Bed’ at the Finborough Theatre. A ‘stunning exploration of social and racial perception in contemporary America’ the play runs from the 6th-22nd March, playing on Sundays, Mondays and Tuesdays only.
