After many years of research and blogs Alpha’s JOHNNY MYERS has finally written and released the book ‘Mill Valley Days’. Based on his early life growing up in California the book covers topics such as McCarthyism, sci-fi/horror movies and the British music invasion as well as many other subjects. It’s a wonderful recollection of a bygone era but also a brilliant achievement by a beloved Alpha member. The book is now available on Amazon. Add it to your Christmas list!

After a successful run at film festivals the short ‘Earthy Encounters’ is now available to view on Amazon Prime. Directed by Sam Johnson and featuring Alpha’s DAVID SAYERS as Agent Gould this charming short film has been described as ‘a rush of pure Spielberg’.
Congratulations to Alpha’s JESSICA FLOOD who has written and directed her first short film, ‘Misconceptions’. It premiered at the Making Films Challenge on Friday 20th December.
As 2018 draws to an end we welcome new member SUSANNAH SLATER to the Alpha Team. Susannah is coming back to acting after a few years away. Originally a Tiller Girl she toured the UK and Canada as a youngster and has more recently been part of the Old Vic Community Company. We look forward to getting her loads of castings in 2019.
Running until the 21st December at The White Bear Theatre is the new play ‘The Long Bones’ by Juliet Aykroyd. Alpha’s CAMERON CHALMERS plays two roles in this story of the last hours of the poet Alun Lewis. Tickets are available here.
