Nic's Feature Film to be screened at the Prince Charles Theatre

Nic Lamont plays the lead Catherine Sweeney in 'Egomaniac', a horror comedy feature film.

About the film:

A satirical dark comedy with a grizzly horror twist, Egomaniac is the second feature film by writer/director Kate Shenton. Catherine Sweeny is determined to make a zombie horror romantic comedy but everybody in the industry keeps telling her she needs to put a talking dog in the film. Desperate to make a dream project Catherine goes to any lengths to make a film but too much compromise can kill.

Egomaniac had its world premiere at Fright Fest 2016 and has screened at Philadelphia Unnamed Film Festival , Boston Horrorthon, IFC Horrorthon, Lund International Fantastic Film Festival, RIP Horror Festival LA, Unrestricted View Horror Festival, Overkill Film Festival, Dundead and Brussels International Fantastic Film Festival.

Abi is Jetsetting... to Turkey then Edinburgh!

It's nothing but the high life for our actress Abi McLoughin who is flying to Turkey next week to shoot a commercial for Thompson Holidays!

This will be a pre-Edinburgh jaunt for Abi who afterwards heads immediately to the Fringe for her one-woman play:

'The Principle of Uncertainty'. (Venue: Sweet Holyrood from 2nd-27th August.) The conceit of the show is a fascinating wonder-filled physics lecture -with a heart-wrenching twist you wouldn't see coming in this universe!

Abi McLoughlin is such a brilliant performer that a couple of minutes in, I actually didn’t care if this was a play or an actual lecture.-  Londontheatre1.com

David hits rehearsals for human trafficking show, 'My Mind is Free'

Rah Rah Community Theatre Company has teamed up with The Salvation Army and anti-trafficking charity, Hope For Justice, to create its production of 'My Mind is Free' by Sam Hall.

Human trafficking is the world’s fastest growing global crime. The 2015 Global Slavery Index estimates that there are 35.8 million people enslaved in the world. There are 1.1 million new, trafficked victims a year, 3,000 new victims a day, or a shocking 125 people per hour forced into slavery. The Metropolitan Police estimate that in the UK alone over 20,000 people are trafficked every year.

'My Mind is Free' is a powerful interpretation of the degradations of human trafficking. It tells the interlinked stories of four people trafficked to and within the UK and their horrifying tales of abuse, exploitation and enslavement. The production uses a mixture of physical theatre and multi–role playing to portray the epic journey and terrible risks that desperate people will go to in the pursuit of what they believe to be a better life, only to find that they are then exploited, ending up in a far worse position than when they started.

David will be taking the show to the Edinburgh festival from the 6th-18th August after a London preview on the 27th July at the Waterloo East Theatre.

Lindon lends his voice to National Theatre Connections play

Lindon recorded a voiceover for the National Theatre Connections play Extremism by Anders Lustgarten which is being performed at the Dorfman Theatre tonight. It's an amazing and powerful play about radicalisation set in an East End School. The play was performed to a sold-out audience at Rich Mix in February, Theatre Royal Stratford East in March and now at the Dorfman in June.

After receiving excellent reviews during its run at Draper Hall, the show will transfer to Sweet Holyrood from 2nd-27th August. The conceit of the show is a fascinating (and accurate) wonder-filled physics lecture -with a heart-wrenching twist you would t see coming in this universe!

McLoughlin excels … Her gentle breakdown is a moving climax to a script as it begins to lose focus, with the attention shifting from equations and concepts to her own, personal story. - theplaysthethinguk.com

McLoughlin excels as the warm, enthusiastic Laura and utterly convinces as a scientist. - Mytheatremates.com
